Noticed something today while sitting on the back porch. I am white. REALLY white.

Working 3rd shift and not getting more than 5 min of direct sunlight a week has reduced any form of tan to nothing. I don’t even have my drivers tan.

Milky white all over, not sickly, not pink.

Is it possible that being too white could be unhealthy?

I should move outta town for a job. ALOT of positions open in the Raliegh area for just about anything. Here… nothing.

Well ok I wont move. I would miss my bro to much and watching Zombie movies.

Watched one with zombie-were-rat-rapist monsters.  Sounds stupid, but to all suprize it was actually scary. Sadly I tease, I cant remember the name. Ask my bro at TV-Eye on Broadway…. tell em “chuckles” sent ya.

While I’m on zombies, look for ‘city of the Dead’. Its a old 70-80’s Italian(?) zombie movie.  The instant teleporting type that don’t eat brains but squish the back of your head, and nest like bats (vampires?).

Hunting for a new job in Asheville isn’t easy.

Sadly the IT tech jobs have migrated to the “GeekSquad” level. Wonder if I put “IT hardware and middleware genius extraordinaire and wizardly wizard” on my resume.

Maybe a % of repaired computers & Operating Systems. Mine would be like… 98% buying nothing to repair it… 100% having to buy $50-$200 of hardware. Maybe I can talk Allyn into putting a computer repair shop next to BestBuy and CircuitCity again.

GeekSquad kids would be about 10% … any higher and BestBuy looses money. “Er sorry mam, your mainboard capacatior has deflipped, $900 to repair it or we can just get a new computer over there!… and we’ll ‘transfer’ your data for the low price of $150, and another $100 to remove the spyware and ‘extra’ software we previously factory installed on that new computer. ( Think Im making that up? Exaggerating? You’ll be surprised)

Maybe Ill get back into training or management… dunno.

So here is my blog.

I live in Asheville and used to be the guy that knew everyone. Not any more… getting older sucks.

This election was hard for me.

I’m speaking of the presidential nomoniees. 4 and 8 years ago it was easy for me. I hated Bush 10 months before he was elected you ‘Bush hater’ posers.

Now there is only one thing I kinda regret…. I backed into the car behind me and just sped off like a lunatic.

This was the car I spent 3 months rebuilding because I refused to junk it and get another.

So today I got up at 2pm.

I did most of the finishing touches to the car. Which has been quite the ordeal. I embarked on the so stereotypical masculine journey of dismantling and replacing most of the engine. Never in my life had I taken a engine out, by myself nor watched someone do it. Not to mention the miles of wires to sensors, hoses, pipes, and strange clips.  Dear lord I’m dirty.

Maybe Ill try and start it Monday. Maybe it will explode and I’ll have to start over + another $600 (in addition to the $1200).

Time to clean up and goto work on those Sunday papers.
